The 53rd WACEM-ACAIM Special Global Weekly e-Summit on BIG DATA Analytics & the COVID Pandemic

The WHO collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma (WHO-CCET) for South east Asia (SEA) partnered with WACEM and ACAIM to hold its Preliminary meeting on promoting BIG DATA Analytics in the New Norm of COVID19.

Dr. Vivek Chauhan presented a brief overview of Cloud Computing and its application in BIG DATA Systems.

Mr. Kevin from Phase Zero presented the Platform which is being developed and emphasized that machine learning could be incorporated in the development of multi-centre research ecosystems.

Dr. Ankit Sahoo discussed the process of Meta-Analysis and Systematic Reviews. He also presented the step by step process which culminates in a good assessment of all major data sets.

Dr. Sunil Raina discussed the concept of Electronic Epidemiology using PubMed datasets. He demonstrated the need for Multi-Step analytical process to evaluate differences in data sets.

Dr. Prabath Nanayakkara from Amsterdam discussed about the application of Evidence Based Medicine principles when interpreting data sets.

The 52nd WACEM-ACAIM Special Global Weekly e-Summit In Partnership with WHO-CCET (SEA)

The Second Closed Session meeting of the WHO collaborating Center for Emergency and Trauma (WHO-CCET) for South east Asia (SEA)was held.

Safe Emergency Care is the cornerstone Quality Health Services delivery.

Leaders from Bangaladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand and India participated in this meeting.

Special invited experts from around the world were also present.

The National Acccreditation Board of Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH) was also represented.

Detail discussions were held on developing quality processes and advancing certification across South east Asia.

The session was held to focus on the promulgation of Quality process to encompass emergency and trauma services into the newly developing emergency departments across India.

The discussion highlighted multiple factors around Quality Process Based education, research and patient care in Medical training.

Assessor Training was considered a key part of the process.

Quality control was also discussed in detail.

The agenda also addressed the acceleration of the Quality Education Curricula across academic hospitals in India.

  It was emphasized that there was a need for creating a framework for Quality Patient Care Training in Rural , Urban , Academic and Non Academic Health Care Facilities.

The 51st WACEM-ACAIM Special Global Weekly e-Summit In Partnership with WHO-CCET (SEA)

The First Closed Session meeting of the WHO collaborating Center for Emergency and Trauma (WHO-CCET) for South east Asia (SEA)was held.

In the New Normal of COVID Many new protocols, teaching methodologies and research protocols will be needed to advance Trauma and Emergency Services.

The session was held to focus on the promulgation of trauma services into the newly developing emergency departments across India.

The discussion highlighted multiple factors around education, research and patient care.

Faculty development and treatment protocols were very important when Synergy had to be maintained between emergency medicine and trauma surgery.

  Quality control was also discussed in detail.

The agenda also addressed the acceleration of pediatric emergency and trauma services at academic hospitals in India.

A synergy between pediatric surgery. pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery as well as pediatrics was needed to develop the services across academic hospitals in India.

It was emphasized that there was a need for creating a framework for surgical trauma, orthopedic trauma, vascular trauma, neurosurgical trauma, both in adults and pediatrics

The 50th WACEM-ACAIM Special Global Weekly e-Summit on COVISIM2021 (The Finale) - Simulation Education in Medicine during COVID19

The Grand Finale of the Global e-Congress on Simulation Education in Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic was a magnanimous event with educators from all around the world convening virtually into the WACEM Virtual Conference hall.

The session was well received by Simulation experts and exemplary educators from the United States, United Kingdom, India, Israel, Qatar, Singapore, Malaysia and other member countries of the World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine.

The finale comprised of the India session following up on sessions by experts from Singapore, US and New Zealand serially over the past 3 weeks.

The Global e-Congress COVISIM2021 was been conceived by WACEM in collaboration with the WHO- CCET, ACAIM, AIIMS, EMA India, ACEE India all affiliated with INDUSEM.

The stellar finale invited the best of speakers from 2 of the premier Simulation Centres with established academic Emergency Medicine Departments in India- Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal and D Y Patil University, Mumbai.

The Simulation Division from KMC Manipal, (SIMians) comprised of Dr. Vimal Krishnan, Dr. Sanjan A, Dr. Freston Sirur and Dr. Jayaraj Balakrishnan.

Dr. Ajit Baviskar was the SIM- Educator expert from D Y Patil Mumbai.

The sessions were unique and ranged from the basic tenet of Simulation designing for SIMeducator, POCUS in Simulation, InSituSim, Biosafety innovations and Simulation.

The sessions invoked cerebral discussions between the experts and plans for international collaboration under the WACEM-GloSIM Network.
